Southampton U11 Team Wins District 6 Tournament

Southampton U8 District Team is Runner Up in District 6 Tournament

Congratulations to the Southampton U8 District Team for finishing 2nd in the District 6 Tournament. The team showed tremendous improvement and eliminated Tabernacle, New Egypt and Sacred Heart before finally losing to Medford in the Championship game!

Southampton U9 District Team WINS Pinelands Classic Championship by defeating Northern Burlington 11-8.

Southampton jumped to an early lead with five runs in the first and three more in the second.  Southampton looked to secure the game by knocking out Northern Burlington’s starting pitcher in the second inning.  Throughout the game the U9 team played an outstanding defense and offense.  With some key catches in the outfield by Michael Ginyard and at second by Nick Decker.  Southampton’s offense exploded with 54 total runs throughout the tournament. 

 

Hitting was led by Zach Malcolm who went 3 for 3 with 3 doubles, 3 RBI’s and 3 runs scored, Luke Hoey 3 for 3 with one double, 2 RBI’s and 2 runs scored, Nick Sprague 2 for 3 with a double and 3 RBI’s and 1 run scored, Hunter Klein went 1 for 2 with 2 runs scored and Sean Barnard 2 for 3 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored.

Nick Sprague 4 runs on 6 hits in 2 innings
