Program Description

STRA offers recreational basketball for children in grades K-12.

Instructional Basketball is for children in grades K-2. They typically play one time per week on Saturday mornings.

Grades 3-8 are typically broken into the following teams:

Grades 3/4 Boys & Girls teams
Grades 5/6 Boys & Girls teams
Grades 7/8 Boys & Girls teams
High School Players have their own teams.

We are part of the Pinelands Basketball League. Information on the Pinelands League can be found here: http://www.pinelandsbasketball.com/

2025-2026 Winter Basketball

STRA Basketball has three levels:

Instructional (Grades K-2)
Grades 3 - 8
Highschool

Instructional Basketball will be played on Saturday Mornings from January through the first week in March at the Southampton School.

Kids in grades 3-8 play against surrounding towns (usually Indian Mills, Medford Lakes & Tabernacle). Teams are 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th grade and 7th/8th grade. Practices typically start at the end of November with games starting in December. The season runs through March and ends with a tournament.

High School Basketball typically runs from December - March and is played at the Seneca Gym.

Registration ends on 10/3/2025. No late registrations will be accepted. No refunds will be provided for cancelled registrations.
